With the global energy crisis escalating, the Chinese company, Huishan Dairy has devised a remarkably “shitty” method of converting the methane emitted by rotting cow manure into usable energy.  Using GE Jenbacher engines the dairy converts the crap of 60,000 happy cows into roughly 5.6 megawatts of power (enough electricity to power 3,600 US homes).

A finished fuel product is attained by an anaerobic digester which transitions the manure into gas.  The gas is then exposed to iron oxide in hydrodesulfurization which effectivly removes corrosive hydrogen sulfide.  The result is biofuel which can easily be burnt to generate power.
